The sun shone in her eyes, opening brilliant golden hues of brown I'd never seen before, and opened to depths I had never experienced. The depth of which matches my love for the woman I wed yesterday, June 12th, 2008.
She is my wife, and the love of my life. We stood in the garden by the fountain, accompanied by no one aside from the minister and those that were there to document the occasion. I can't remember ever feeling so complete and at peace with everything. If I accomplish nothing else in life, I have accomplished one thing. I've married the one for me.
The air was light and cool, gone with the breeze was the muggy and thick. Fifty feet up on a balcony, on a night in the mountains, I could smell the peace in the air. I could smell the calm and serenity. I think she could, too. The sun had set a while ago as she looked at me again with those big brown eyes, and again I could see the golden depths just as I had when the sun shone brightly. They were telling me, like they do every day, that we are one. I love you, Karen Vicens.

you are so wondeful! congrats, and i'm so glad you are so happy. it is such a great feeling to know in your heart, that that person is the one for you. i loved tony 100% when i married him, but when we had children and i saw what a wonderful dad he was/is to my girls, my love went to another level. a level i never knew exsited...words can not explain, but like i know, and you now know, when its the one, "its simply the one". you both are so blessed and i wish you nothing but happiness in the years to come. you are such a great guy chris, even if i told you when you were 14 you were going to beat your wife cause you had kicked my ass so much! you are a great example of what a husband should be and im so proud to say that you are my brother! i love you so much!

Wow having known you for more of my life than anyone else but family, I can say I am very happy for you and Karen. Its amazing for me to step back and look and see where we are in our lives. Ot seems like only yesterday we were building forts and terrorizing the 'hood. Oh yea and checking out your sister! ha ha just kidding. Seriously congratulations...heres to many more moments.
