The DNC

If you're one of the unfortunate many that watch Obama tonight and believe in what he says, you should really read this: http://mausersandmuffins.blogspot.com/ and think twice before voting in November.

yeah, thats really reliable..i think ill go with the fact that my husband is currently fighting for his life in a third world country that will be the same way it is now, 10 yrs. down the road. we are making no progress there. this comes from not what some guy i dont know says, but from my husband, who is an experianced infantryman who has worked his ass off to become the ltc he is. not only to mention the stereo types he has received along the way of, "oh he is black...go ahead and promote him". for those of you who do not know, when a military person applies for a promotion of his or hers next rank, they are given a report card. you get 3 chances to make promotion, if you do not by the third, you might as well hang up your career as whatever rank it is you are. my husband, has made promotion status on the first try of every one of his report cards. still yet, that has come with great discrimination. some of those who believe they are obligated to promote him simply because he is a black officer. which may i remind you, only 11% of this nations military officers are of color. (congrats my love). he went to a all black elementary school within the projects of charelston. Becoming the first born of a 16 yr old mother. He continued to go on to an all black middle school, as well as high school. not by choice, but simply because all those in poverty in his "ghetto" where all black. his high school graduation his mother bought him a suit of luggage. she told him either he join the army or go to college, but his future was to bright to stay in the "ghetto" of charleston. he chose to go to college. yet another, all black college, fort valley state. where he excelled in jrotc to graduate and enlist as an officer to the united states army. He has worked his ass off to become who he is regardless of the people whom think he was handed things souly because he is a black american, and after all they must meet their quota. my husband is the most, intelligent, independant person i have ever met. he has taught me things i never knew existed. ask chris if he could have pictured me watching the debates 10 years ago and he would say yeah right. i know that my husbands future depends on american decisions. i also know my brother is a republican and in no way am i trying to sway him by any means, but just to let everyone know...those who serve our country do so because it is their obligation; regardless if they agree with it or not. what i do know is i was not brought up rich, nor was my husband. at times they had to heat their apt. with a coal grill. he never had a birthday cake and his best child hood memory of a chritmas gift, was a book. i am proud as hell to say this man has overcome his personal beliefs to make somebody of him self without discriminating against those who at times were the ones to hold him down. i am proud to say my husband is a black infantry officer not because he is black, but because he has worked his ass off to make somebody of himself instead of becoming merely a statistic. i admire him, i love him, and i believe in his beliefs...he is my husband, my childrens father, my real life hero. no one can top that to me...no one!

Well, said, Mandroni, and everyone that reads this is looking forward to his safe return. Is he getting on the plane in a day or two for his two week R&R?
